JR Howard Hall
JR Howard Hall was built in 1996 and was funded by the late Dr. James and Ruth Howard of Landrum, South Carolina.
This residence hall houses twenty-four students with a large furnished common area upstairs and a spacious study room.
Laundry facilities that are included for the convenience of the residents are located on the bottom floor. The rooms in this residence hall are suite-style, with two rooms adjoined by a bathroom. JR Howard is centrally located behind the dining hall and adjacent to Cline Hall and the Crain Science Building.
This residence hall has magnetic locks on the exterior doors with prop alarms for the safety of the residents. The rooms come equipped with a sink, two desks, two beds, two closets, and two dressers.
JR Howard Hall has two room styles featuring a square room layout that measures 15′ x 8′ and a rectangular room layout that measures 17′ x 11′. The mattresses in this dorm are regular-length twin mattresses, and the blinds measure 27″.
