Major Productions
NGU’s theatre department plans two major productions each semester. Display your talents as you paint backdrops, build sets, or design costumes. Put your artistic abilities to good use for all to see!

All Things Begin with Creativity

Think outside the canvas as you master all aspects of painting. Color mixing, composition, and technical skills. Oils, acrylics, and watercolors. Realism, impressionism, modern art, and more. Even examine the history, theory, and philosophy behind art itself.

Then, prepare for a wide variety of careers rooted in the world of painting. Freelance or a commissioned painter, of course. But also, instructor or tutor, private/public curator, art therapist or critic, gallery/museum director, and more. Pursue your passion, wherever it leads, through a Bachelor of Arts in Art with a concentration in painting.

What Can I Do With a Degree in Painting?

A career in painting involves creating visual art through various painting techniques and mediums. Painters use their creativity and technical skills to produce artwork that conveys emotions, tells stories, and captures the beauty of the world around us.

Painters can work as independent artists, exhibit their work in galleries, collaborate with other artists, or even pursue commercial opportunities in areas such as illustration, design, and advertising.
