Fall 2025 Academic Semester

  • Men’s Soccer Team

    Incident Date: 9.24.2025

    Investigation Start Date: 9.24.2025

    Resolved Date: 9.29.2025

Incident Description: It was reported by the coaches that a birthday tradition had been started by the players where every player who was celebrating a birthday was required to run through a tunnel of other players if he missed hitting the goal post during a birthday challenge. The tunnel line-up included squirting with water and slaps on the back of the individual player. OCCS confirmed with the coaches that the conduct could be humiliating and/or intimidating and found substantial evidence to support the finding that the conduct was in violation of the university hazing policy, though no player complained or reported the conduct as hazing.

Sanctions: Team Education. Coaches and the Vice President of Campus Ministry and Student Engagement met with the team to review the university hazing policy and worked with the team to collaborate on developing new birthday traditions that foster positive team building.

Spring 2025 Academic Semester

  • No violations to report.
