South Carolina residents who meet the requirements for the Palmetto Fellows Scholarship will be considered for the NGU Fellows Scholarship. Eligible candidates must be identified by the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education. This scholarship will cover the full cost of tuition, standard room, and board.

This scholarship will be comprised of federal, state, and institutional aid. The cost of books and fees will be the responsibility of the recipient. The NGU Fellows Scholarship is renewable for four years to students who maintain the requirements set forth by the Commission on Higher Education.

South Carolina residents who meet the requirements for the Palmetto Fellows Scholarship will be considered for the NGU Fellows Scholarship. The South Carolina Commission must identify eligible candidates for Higher Education. This scholarship will cover the full cost of tuition, room, and board.

This scholarship will be comprised of federal, state, and institutional aid. The cost of books and fees will be the responsibility of the recipient. The NGU Fellows Scholarship is renewable for four years to students who maintain the requirements set forth by the Commission on Higher Education.

To be considered for the NGU Fellows Scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • New to NGU
  • First time in college
  • Entering in the Fall semester
  • SC resident
  • Qualify for Palmetto Fellows

Students who choose to apply for the NGU Fellows Scholarship must submit a complete scholarship application by the application deadline. All scholarship applicants must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by November 15 of the year you apply and before each year of attendance. These scholarships may not be used for summer school. All scholarship applicants invited to interview for their selected scholarship must compete in person at NGU Scholars Weekend. NGU Scholars Weekend is a two-day event designed to celebrate student achievement and accommodate participation in several scholarship competition elements. Full tuition scholarships include:

  • On-campus students: Full tuition, standard room and board
  • Commuting students: Full tuition. This scholarship is comprised of federal, state, and institutional aid. The Palmetto Fellows Scholarship and SC Tuition Grant will be applied to the cost of tuition. The NGU Fellows Scholarship will be awarded for the remaining cost of tuition and room and board. The cost of books and fees will be the responsibility of the recipient.

The NGU Fellows Scholarship is renewable for four years to students who maintain the requirements set forth by the Commission on Higher Education. Students must maintain a 3.0 GPA to renew.

Apply for NGU’s competitive scholarships by December 1, 2023

A completed Scholarship Application includes:

  • Scholarship Nomination and Academic Information(submitted by school administrator)
  • Copies of most current high school transcript(submitted by school administrator)
  • NGU Academic Scholarship Application(submitted by student)
  • Student resume detailing school, church and community activities
  • Two letters of recommendation

You must also complete your FAFSA by November 15 of the year you apply and prior to each year you attend NGU.

We review applications as they are submitted, then communicate with applicants regarding Scholars Weekend invitations. The second step of the selection process includes an interview and a competition. If you are invited to compete, you must compete in person at NGU Scholars Weekend.

NGU Scholars Weekend is a two-day event designed to celebrate student achievement. Several scholarship competitions also occur during the event.
