Occupation: Lead Pastor at Taylors First Baptist Church

Success Josh PowellGod was gracious to me in allowing me to grow up in a Christian home. I am a third-generation Baptist pastor. The Lord saved me at a young age, and my life is an outworking of my godly heritage. After my freshman year in college, God called me to a life of full-time service to Him.

I began to study and prepare myself for ministry, and my calling began to become clear. The Lord gave me a desire to pastor and/or train pastors and has given me a heart for the nations and has allowed me to help in theological education on four different continents.

My greatest desire is to preach the Word and to see all believers grow in the knowledge and wisdom of the Lord. Josh serves as president of Bobbili Baptist Seminary in Bobbili, India, which he founded in 2009, led SC Baptists as president of the South Carolina Baptist Convention in 2020.
