Music is created to be shared and to inspire. You enjoy sharing your passion and talent for music with others. The field of music education provides an opportunity to create a career of passing on your love of music.

The Cline School of Music ;integrates academic excellence, a Christian worldview, and an enriched cultural experience to produce well-rounded Christian musicians. 

By studying music education: instrumental with a strings focus, you’ll enhance your own musical talent through applied lessons and ensemble performances. Courses in music theory and history, methods, education, and directed student teaching will prepare you to be an effective music educator. 

What Can I Do with a Degree in Music Education Strings?

A Bachelor’s degree in Music Education for Strings provides you with the specialized knowledge and skills necessary to teach string instruments in a variety of settings. You will gain a deep understanding of string pedagogy, as well as the ability to play a string instrument at a high level. With a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education for Strings, you will be well-positioned to pursue a career as a music teacher in public or private schools, or as a private music instructor.

With your strong musical foundation and teaching skills, you will be able to make a valuable contribution to the music world in a variety of ways.

In addition to teaching, a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education for Strings can also prepare you for a variety of other careers in the music industry, such as:

You want choices? We’ve got them! Marching band in the fall. Pep band in the spring. Concert choir, jazz band, and a wide array of ensembles throughout the year. Whatever your passion, pursue it at NGU. 

 

 

 

 

Compose or Perform (or Both!)

Refine your skills and showcase your talents in over 40 performances each year. Receive helpful feedback to grow as an artist. From chamber and ensemble performances to student and faculty recitals, there’s something for everyone.

 

Work Studies for Every Level of Experience

Assist ensemble conductors as they prepare for rehearsals. Facilitate guest performances. Even advise younger musicians in their journey. Put your talent to good use for others. 

Plenty of Space to Find Your Place

You need time and space to practice. Between Turner Chapel and the Hayes Christian Fine Arts Center, enjoy access to over two dozen spaces designed for you to learn, practice, and perfect your craft.
