Academic Clubs

Honors Societies

  • Alpha Iota Sigma

    Membership: Closed

    Promote academic excellence as well as actively promote Biblical community and friendships within the society. We seek to impact not only NGU, but as much of the world as possible with the grace if Christ.

  • Alpha Phi Sigma

    Membership: Closed

    The National Criminal Justice Honors Society. We are committed to Honor and Promote Academic Excellence; Community Service; Educational Leadership and Unity. Alpha Phi Sigma is the local chapter at North Greenville University.

  • Alpha Psi Omega

    Membership: Closed

    Theatre Honor Society that helps students involved succeed while in collegiate theatre and better equip them for preparations for a career in theatre.

  • Beta Delta

    Membership: Closed

    Educational Honor Society for Education Majors at NGU. Our focus is professional growth and service projects focused on literacy.

  • Psi Chi

    Membership: Closed

    Psi Chi is the honors society for psychology students! It is a nationally recognized honor to be a part of and provides opportunities for graduate school scholarships.

  • Tri Beta

    Membership: Closed

    Beta Beta Beta is a biological Honor Society that science majors at North Greenville can be invited into. The purpose of this group is to form an appreciation for the biological sciences and the research that goes along with it.

Student Organizations

  • Mountain Laurel Magazine

    Membership: Open

    Annual literary and arts magazine published by students each year.

  • South Carolina State Guard

    Membership: Open

    When serious natural or man-made disasters strike the State of South Carolina, the mission of the State Guard is to quickly respond to protect people and property and to help communities recover.

  • Student Body Council

    Membership: Student Body elections for officers; Academic appointments for representatives; Student Forums are open to all currently registered students

    The Student Body Council is here to provide an avenue to all registered student to formally voice their concerns and desires. The Student Body Council represents that greater student body to the NGU Administration while also looking for opportunities to serve the student body.

  • Young Americans for Freedom (YAF)

    Want to meet other conservatives? YAF’s got you covered! Come join like-minded students at NGU who love freedom and want to make an impact on our campus!

  • Cheeky Chess Club

  • COAR

    Membership: Open

    Ready for an adventure? COAR is ready to guide you up mountains, down rivers, and to beautiful views throughout the Carolinas while growing a Christ-centered community!

  • Craft Club

    Membership: Open

    The Craft Club allows students to meet together with a common purpose. We provide a wide variety of craft supplies for you to use. (If you do specific crafts, you are welcome to bring your supplies with you if we do not have them) We have a very relaxed atmosphere. Come and go as you please. We hope you will join us soon!

  • Disc Golf Club

    Membership: Open to any student, faculty, or staff member interested in disc golf

    The Disc Golf Club is a group of students, faculty, and staff that love to play, talk about, and watch disc golf. The club plays rounds together, hosts training days and events, and helps maintain the NGU disc golf course.

  • Marksmanship Club

    Membership: Open

    All members will attain the knowledge, skills, and mindset necessary for the safe handling of firearms and are afforded opportunities for skill acquisition that can be employed in recreational, leisure, and/or competitive marksmanship activities. No prior experience with firearms necessary to join. 

  • Pokémon Club

    Membership: Open

    Be the best like no one ever was. Trade, battle, and create friendships over the world’s number one fantasy creatures, Pokémon!

  • Required Chaos

    Chaos. It’s Required. Come see our improv shows throughout the semester!

  • Spikeball Club

    Membership: Open

    NGU Spike-ball club, the place for ultimate duo coordination and domination.

  • Ultimate Frisbee

    What is Pickup Ultimate Frisbee? Simple. Whoever shows up plays. There was once a great generation of Ultimate players at NGU, the first step in that direction is for us to grow in our love and enjoyment for the sport! If you have a desire to grow or want to be challenged in what you know, Pickup is the way to go!
