First Year Experience
Your Key to Seamless Transition and Academic Achievement
The First-Year Experience (FYE) at North Greenville University is an academic program crafted to seamlessly immerse new students into the campus community and equip them with tools for academic success. The course, workshops, and events offered in this program provide you the opportunity to engage with professors, learn from peer mentors, and grow with other new students. FYE aims to aid your transition to college and help you build meaningful and lasting relationships. Establishing these connections and honing these skills during your first year is crucial for achieving your goals at NGU and beyond.

Interested in becoming a mentor?
FYE mentors are student leaders who assist first-year students as they transition to college life at NGU. FYE mentors attend the weekly NGU 101 class meetings in the fall semester and connect with students outside the classroom on a regular basis throughout their first academic year. Students who have already completed at least one full-time semester of coursework at NGU, have already completed NGU 101, and have maintained a GPA higher than 2.5 are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
