"O God, from my youth you have taught me, and I still proclaim your wondrous deeds. So even to old age and gray hairs, O God, do not forsake me, until I proclaim your might to another generation, your power to all those to come. Your righteousness, O God, reaches the high heavens. You who have done great things, O God, who is like you?" Psalm 71:17-19

My Story
My life and worldview are shaped by the truth found in the Bible. I am a committed follower of Jesus Christ and have been since a young age. I want to encourage others to know and follow Christ. I had an interest in medicine early on in my life and attended the Medical College of Georgia PA Program, graduating in 1984 and practiced in various settings as a PA-C, including 2 years at a clinic and hospital in Haiti. In 1989 was accepted and attended WVSOM on a Navy scholarship. I completed my Family Medicine residency in 1996 and worked in various settings while on active duty and reserve duty in the Navy. Also practiced in rural KY and NC for many years. I have a strong interest in medical missions, working in Haiti and gone on many short-term medical mission trips with medical and PA students.
