  • Professional Experience

    I have done a lot of accompanying as my church’s pianist and at NGU. NGU has afforded me a wide variety of accompanying experiences, which I am very grateful for. Highlights include: accompanying the orchestra, accompanying musicals in various capacities, and accompanying a silent movie with the orchestra. – At my church, Tyger Baptist Church, I accompany congregational singing, choir specials, and vocal and instrumental solos, improvise during the pastor’s prayer and play the prelude, offertory, postlude, and during the Lord’s Supper. I have taught private piano lessons on my own for several years and, recently, I was given the opportunity to teach a few non-piano music majors at NGU. I compose sacred and classical music (arrangements and original compositions) and I self-publish my work through JW Pepper, Sheet Music Plus, and Sheet Music Direct. I have been taking composition lessons for several years and I write for a variety of ensembles and in a variety of forms, including: piano solo, children’s piano solo, piano duet, original hymns, vocal solo, choir, 6-part brass ensemble, and 6-part string ensemble with piano. I have a website (www.sabrinabrem.com) where I post my compositions, advertise piano lessons, and have a devotional blog.

  • My Story

    In the spring of 2019, I completed my B.A. in piano performance from NGU and, since then, I have been working at NGU as an accompanist, playing for my church, teaching private piano lessons, and taking music composition lessons from various composers/teachers. However, no event in my life, would have been possible if not for the Lord. I received Him into my heart on the way home from church when I was seven and He has never left me nor forsaken me (Hebrews 13:5). It is His creative power that formed me and gifted me, it is His Word that charted each of my days before they ever came to be (Psalm 139:16) and leads me through each one, and it is His grace that has sustained me and will continue to sustain me through every second of my life. I would be nothing without Him. It is my goal, then, to use my music and my life to give back to the God Who has given me so much. I pray that I can bring others to be zealous for God and His Word and to trust deeply in Him. “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – His good, pleasing, and perfect will… I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God” (Romans 12:2 and Ephesians 3:16-19, respectively, NIV – 1978 Revision).
