My Story
Dr. Robert Hucks has more than 35 years’ experience in new business creation, entrepreneurship, marketing, international business, and general management. Dr. Hucks has launched and harvested five unique ventures successfully, representing nearly $1 billion in value.
After retiring Dr. Hucks passion is to train and mentor young innovators to create businesses that solve real problems in the world. He has experience developing small business start-ups, as well as holding executive level positions in Fortune 20 firms. He has traveled extensively in Western Europe and South America developing marketing programs for international firms. He has been a guest speaker in forums for several Fortune 500 firms on topics related to marketing, innovation, and entrepreneurship. He has served in advisory roles with nationally recognized organizations. He is an active principal of a business consulting firm focusing holistically on startups.
The same family that taught Dr. Hucks business skills, also taught him to serve. Dr. Hucks has ministered in the local church and mission organizations. He has ministered in the areas of medical missions, served as an interim pastor, youth minister, and his favorite role as the church groundskeeper.
He earned his undergraduate and master’s degree from Bob Jones University and earned his Doctorate in Marketing from the University of Phoenix. He and his wife, Ruth, were married in 1985 and have two children. They love to travel and in 2020 began a seven-year journey to visit all the States. They are members of Hampton Park Baptist Church in Greenville, SC.
