Early in life I realized that those people who had the greatest influence on my life, other than my parents, were teachers. As an adult reflecting upon those experiences and relationships, I believe that we influence the world not by changing systems or things but by influencing individuals. Therefore, I approach my work as an educator with the awareness that I am just not trying to impart information, but I am also seeking to affect the lives of others. With the opportunity to teach in a Christian university, I have a devotion and prayer in every class I teach. My prayer for my students is to have a closer walk with God at the end of the semester.
