"Those who look to Him are radiant with joy; their faces will never be ashamed." - Psalm 34:5
  • Expertise
Gretchen Pruden is a former elementary school teacher. She taught 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades at Taylors Elementary from the years 2015-2023. In the spring of 2023, she left the classroom and stepped into a coaching role with Greenville County Schools as a Teacher Success Coach. It was during this time that she was able to mentor two NGU graduates as they walked through their first year of teaching, so she saw first-hand the excellent teachers that our program produces. Gretchen also served as adjunct faculty for Furman University in the fall of 2023 as a supervisor for internship teachers in their first year of teaching in Greenville County Schools. Gretchen holds a master’s degree in Literacy from Furman University, and she is certified in early childhood education, elementary education, and literacy instruction.

  • My Story

I have had the opportunity to teach in a variety of school settings. I have experience in private Christian, classical, and public schools. In each place, I had wonderful mentors that I watched and learned from. I know that as an instructor I have the opportunity to “pay it forward” as both a teacher and a coach as I help train the next generation of teachers!
