March 18-19, 2021
We are making plans for the 2020-2021 Overnight at NGU events and will provide further details soon.
Can my parents come along?
Of course! Parents are welcome to come out and enjoy Overnight at NGU. Some events are just for prospective students, though. We have indicated in the schedule above which events parents are invited to attend.
If we need to stay in the area for a night or two during our visit, where would you recommend?
Prospective students who are attending Overnight at NGU will actually stay with us on campus Thursday night. For parents and those looking for longer stays, we’ve compiled a whole list for you — from big-brand names like The Westin in downtown Greenville to cozy B&Bs like The Inn on Tyger Meadow in Travelers Rest. Pick your favorite.
What should I bring to Overnight at NGU?
Since Overnight at NGU is an overnight event, we recommend you bring all personal items needed for a pleasant stay in one of our residence halls for one night. We also highly recommend you bring clothing appropriate for the activities on the schedule, your parents, and any Admissions questions you have.
Does it cost to attend Overnight at NGU?
Yes. When you register for the event online, you can go ahead and pay the $35 reservation fee upfront. This covers all meals and activities during your visit. The NGU Admissions staff will then provide you with a meal ticket for dinner, breakfast, and lunch once you’re on campus for the event.
How long does Overnight at NGU usually last?
Overnight at NGU generally begins on a Thursday around 4 p.m. and goes through lunchtime on the following day. See our example schedule above for more details.
What should I do about missing my classes at school?
We will provide students who attend Overnight at NGU with an excused absence form to give to their high school attendance office for missing classes on Thursday and Friday.
