What is Teaching Fellows?

The South Carolina Teaching Fellows Program is a collegiate teacher recruitment program administered by CERRA.

  • Recruits talented high school students for the teaching profession in SC.
  • Provides up to $24,000 (up to $6,000 per year/up to $5,700 for tuition and board, and $300 for specific enrichment programs administered by CERRA) in Fellowship funds to pursue a degree leading to initial teacher certification.
  • Includes professional development and enrichment opportunities.
  • Requires graduates to teach in a South Carolina public school one year for every year they participate in the program.
