North Greenville University’s work-study program offers full-time students the chance to earn money for educational expenses through jobs related to their field of study or community service opportunities.

FAQs

  • What are the eligibility requirements?

    Full-time students enrolled at NGU who are currently meeting satisfactory academic progress are eligible to participate in the work study program. Online students are not eligible for this program.

  • How many hours am I allowed to work?

    Position hours may vary depending on departmental needs and the agreement with individual supervisors. On average, students work 5-10 hours per week.

  • How much will I get paid?

    Approved work study students are paid on the third Thursday of each month for time worked during the prior month. Students have the option to have their pay check go directly to their student account or to receive ACH direct deposit to use for other education-related expenses.

  • What jobs are available and how do I apply?

    To view current job openings for the work study program you will need to log into the College Central Network.

    If you are a new user select “create account” and follow the prompts on the website. Once you have set up a user account, search for jobs using “work study” in the School Job ID field of Search Job Listings. You will upload your resume to your College Central Network account and then email the Work Study Coordinator with the Job ID number to apply. You can apply for multiple positions at one time.

America Reads Program

Students that qualify for Federal Work-Study may be eligible to participate in America Reads, a federal literacy program. America Reads tutors visit local elementary schools to tutor students grades k-4.
