Success Stories

Upon finishing college, my career began in May 1979 with a textile company located in northern Greenville County. After only 14 months in my first job, I was offered another tremendous opportunity in research and development for a French company. It was a fantastic management opportunity fresh out of college. I have remained employed from September 1980 to the present day, where I have contributed to both management and individual contributor capacities in research, product marketing, and field engineering. My role as a competency manager is to ensure that our field technical teams are skilled in product knowledge, problem-solving, and data collection/reporting for our vast brand and product portfolios.

Church has always been a part of my life. My parents raised my sister and me in a Christian home. I had no idea what this meant until I got older. That foundation led me to church student ministry participation which included salvation at 13 while on a beach camp week. Since those years, student ministry remained a focal part of my life throughout the 12th grade, during college, and after college, including bus driving, small group leadership, and teaching high school Sunday School for 20 years. There have been many challenges along the way, including losing my father when I was 17, losing friends and family to illnesses and accidents, career challenges, and the miscarriage of what would have been our first-born child. My faith in Christ, bible study, prayer, and Christian friends always provided the lifeline of support.
