Kris Adler (ʼ13) says he chose NGU for his master’s degree because of its “reputation, class size, and devotion to our Lord and Savior.” Kris attended parochial high school and enjoyed the Christ-centered education that NGU offers. His program was a hybrid, about 60% online and the remaining in-person classes.
He said he used information from his Quantitative Methods class while attending the program to complete a study of calls for service and human resource allocation. “I was looking for a method to assign shifts based upon peak hours of calls for service. I used a bell graph, standard deviation, and outlier principles to determine the best staffing model.”
He said the degree program continues to pay dividends in his career. He uses concepts from the program weekly, if not daily, in the operations of the police department.
