North Greenville One Win Away From National Title, Scenarios Explained

The North Greenville Crusaders are one win away from an NCAA Division II Baseball National Title. NGU will have an opportunity to close out the tournament tonight at 7:00 PM against the winner of an elimination game between Point Loma Nazarene University and Rollins College.
A victory by North Greenville tonight will officially end the tournament, earning NGU its first ever NCAA National Championship while a victory by tonight’s opponent will force a winner-take-all game tomorrow. Due to the potential of rain in the area, Saturday’s game, if necessary, does not yet have a posted start time.
Point Loma and Rollins have both suffered a loss in the tournament, with Point Loma falling to Rollins yesterday by a final score of 12-4 and Rollins falling to Southern Arkansas on the opening day of the tournament by a final score of 3-1. Because the NCAA Division II Baseball National Championship is a double elimination tournament and both teams have a loss, the winner of the elimination game must defeat North Greenville twice while the Crusaders need just one victory against either team. NGU is the only undefeated team remaining in the tournament.
