Tigerville, SC (January 10, 2020) Intelligent.com, a resource for online degree rankings and higher education planning, has announced its Top 40 Master’s in Music Education Degree Programs for 2020. The guide includes an assessment of 164 accredited colleges and universities in the nation. Each program was evaluated based on curriculum quality, graduation rate, reputation, and post-graduate employment. North Greenville University (NGU) was among the top 40 making the final list.

“I am incredibly proud of the dedicated professors who administer and instruct in this program. You will not find a better group anywhere,” said Dean of the College of Communication and Fine Arts Dr. Web Drake. “Their passion for their craft is matched only by their love for their students. It is wonderful to see their hard work and wisdom being recognized on a national level.”

The 2020 rankings are calculated through a unique scoring system which includes student engagement, the potential return on investment, and leading third-party evaluations. The methodology also uses an algorithm that collects and analyzes multiple rankings into one score to easily compare each university.

Per Intelligent.com, students pursuing this program can expect to gain employment much quicker in comparison to candidates without a degree. In addition to accessibility and cost, the steady job growth in this market is one of the many reasons Intelligent.com researched and ranked the top Master’s in Music Education degree programs.

“While we are certainly honored to be among the 40 best Master’s of Music Education Programs, we are certainly not surprised. Our online program offers five annual start dates, a multitude of course offerings, and a number of financial incentives which allow students to work at their own pace as they explore their interests and add new strategies to their ‘instructional toolbox,’” said Cline School of Music Coordinator of Music Education Dr. J. David Cudd.

Cudd says the feedback from graduates of the program has been incredibly positive regarding the practical impact of the program on their teaching. Also, the salary schedules of public schools allow most graduates to recover their financial investment in about two years after completing the degree.

Also, NGU is named to the Top 50 Most Affordable Online Master’s Degree Programs for 2020. In this ranking, 183 accredited colleges and universities were assessed with only 50 making the final cut.

For this ranking, accredited programs were not reviewed based on a specific subject; rather the schools’ overall graduate program offerings, and were evaluated based on cost, quality, and delivery method. Intelligent looked at the per-credit tuition rate, as well as any other fees schools charge distance learners, to find the programs that are the best value.

Programs on this list may be delivered completely online, or as on-campus/online hybrid programs. Many programs offer students the flexibility to switch between on-campus and online classes depending on their needs and schedules. All of the listed schools have regional accreditation, which assures quality in higher education.

Other NGU Intelligent.com rankings include: No. 29 Best Online Bachelor’s Degree Programs, No. 4 Best Online Bible Colleges, No. 24 Best Online Colleges, and No. 11 Best Online Criminal Justice Degree Programs.
