NGU Named to U.S. News & World Report Best Online Programs Ranking

Tigerville, SC – For working adults with some college credit, completing a four-year degree online may be the most practical way to obtain the knowledge and credentials needed to boost their careers. U.S. News & World Report’s 2019 Best Online Bachelor’s Programs rankings are designed to help prospective students select schools that are right for them.
U.S. News ranked online bachelor’s degrees as well as master’s programs in business, education, nursing, engineering, computer information technology, and criminal justice. A total of 1,545 online programs were evaluated.
North Greenville University ranks No. 4 in the state and No. 159 in the nation for best online bachelor’s program.
According to the report, the vast majority of students enrolled in these ranked programs have earned at least some college credit. Rather than first-time college students, they are more likely to be working professionals in their 20s to 40s looking to advance in or change their careers.
Consequently, the factors U.S. News selected to make comparisons between programs were not measures like high school class rank or standardized test scores. Instead, U.S. News chose factors that weigh how these programs are being delivered and their effectiveness at awarding affordable degrees in a reasonable amount of time.
U.S. News assessed schools based on four general categories: engagement, services and technology, faculty credentials and training, and expert opinion.
