Tigerville, SC (March 19, 2021) Intelligent.com, which provides research to help students make informed decisions about higher education programs, recently announced its Best Master’s in Music Education Degree Programs for 2021. North Greenville University (NGU) ranks No. 3 out of the top 50 nationwide programs.

Intelligent.com reviewed many master’s in music education programs, including Master of Music Education (MMEd) and Master of Music (MM) degrees. The two degrees have different emphases, but each can prepare for a career teaching others about music.

The list includes online, on-campus, and hybrid programs to make it easy for many people to find a suitable option. Online programs may have a brief in-person component.

Every program listed maintains regional accreditation with an appropriate body, and most also are accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM). Accreditation ensures the quality of a program and the widespread acceptance of the program’s degrees.

Each program is based on flexibility, faculty, course strength, cost, and reputation. Then the Intelligent Score was calculated for each program on a scale from 0 to 100. The top picks for the best master’s in music education programs are affordable, respected, and flexible. For a more in-depth explanation, review the ranking methodology.

“A master’s in music education prepares you to work in several settings. Teach at a public or private school, or give private individual lessons. Some music teachers start their own music education programs,” said Interim Associate Dean of the Cline School of Music Dr. David Cudd.

NGU offers undergraduate programs in music, music education, music performance, music worship studies, along with the Master of Music Education degree. The MMEd degree provides the knowledge and skills needed to advance your career or even change your career path to a different element of teaching music. But more than that, NGU’s Graduate School of Music Education faculty members are prepared and willing to help you succeed in impacting the world for Christ as a music teacher.

According to the website, Intelligent.com offers curated guides that include the best degree programs and information about financial aid, internships, and even study strategies. With comprehensive, user-friendly guides and hundreds of program rankings, the website is a trusted source among students and prospective students.
