Tigerville, SC (May 30, 2018) There are just over 7,500 higher education institutions that are recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Of these, about 12 percent claim to have a Christian religious affiliation.

For nearly a decade, collegeatlas.org has been helping aspiring students and education-minded professionals make better, more informed choices by providing them with relevant, reliable, and up-to-date information about college and higher education opportunities. College Atlas has just released their Best Christian Colleges list which ranks the top 150 campus and online Christian colleges.

College Atlas says not all of the students that attend Christian colleges are seeking to become professional clergy, ministers, or religious scholars. While this may be their career goal, the category of Christian college or university simply means that the school’s curriculum is integrated with and founded upon the religious teachings of Jesus Christ and the Bible.

North Greenville University ranks No. 65 for campus schools and No. 15 for online schools on College Atlas’ 2018 Best Christian Colleges lists.

The Best Christian Colleges 2018 ranking evaluates schools on 21 data points – each related to one of three major ranking categories – accessibility, affordability, and academic quality. A few of the 21 data points were used for each Christian college and university to gain inclusion into the ranking evaluation pool, while the rest were used to rank the schools against each other.
