JR Howard Hall
JR Howard Hall was built in 1996 and was funded by the late Dr. James and Mrs. Ruth Howard of Landrum, South Carolina.
This residence hall houses twenty-four female students, has a large furnished common area upstairs, and contains a spacious study room downstairs.
Laundry facilities that are included for the convenience the residents are located in the bottom floor. The rooms in this residence hall are suite-style with two rooms adjoined by a bathroom. JR Howard is centrally located behind the dining hall and adjacent to Cline Hall and the Crain Science Building.
This residence hall, like all female residence halls, has magnetic locks on the exterior doors with prop alarms for the safety of the residents. The rooms all come equipped with sink, two desks, two beds, two closets, two dressers, and a micro-fridge. The micro-fridge features a refrigerator, microwave, and freezer.
JR Howard Hall has two room styles featuring a square room layout that measures 15′ x 8′ and a rectangular room layout that measures 17′ x 11′. The mattresses in this dorm are regular-length twin mattresses and the blinds measure 27″.
