I have on the job training as a Receptionist/Admin Assistant to HR for 25 yrs. I most recently retired (early), after 17+ years, from Atotech USA, LLC, a chemical company in Rock Hill SC.

  • My Story

I joined the CES staff here on 7/11/22 as the Admin Assistant to Mick Daniel, VP of Campus Enhancement Services (CES). My husband, Mike and I moved to Taylors from Rock Hill SC last summer. We believe the Lord led us here and has now opened this door of opportunity for me to serve here at NGU. My husband’s family is from this area; he was born in Greer. I was born in Valdese, NC and grew up in the Hickory/Lenoir area before going off to college.

I accepted the Lord as my Savior at the early age of 8 and committed my life to follow him wherever He would lead me. He led me to Gardner-Webb College (University) in 1984 and that’s where I met my husband (my best friend); we married 35 yrs ago this May 17. We have 2 adult children who are busy working now using their skills and talents for the Lord.

My husband and I joined Taylors First Baptist church last October and found out there are many connections here at NGU. We joined the choir and love to sing the Lord’s praises together in worship to our great God who gives us all good things.

All through my life I’ve learned that His grace is sufficient for every moment, one day at a time. And when things don’t make sense I am to trust Him with all my heart and not my understanding and He has continued to direct my steps. As it’s been said before, life in Christ is so daily. We must daily die to self and rise to walk alive in Christ by the power of His Spirit in us. No need to worry about tomorrow, as Jesus said, for each day has enough trouble of it’s own. We’re to be busy about our Father’s business, sharing the good news of the gospel. Rejoicing in Him, praying always and giving thanks in all circumstances. We walk by faith and not by sight.

I’m thankful and honored to be here where Christ makes a difference. To God be the glory for the great things He has done, is doing, and will do!
