"I count it a privilege and blessing to invest in our students as emerging leaders! I greatly value an individual’s commitment to life-long learning and challenge my students and myself to continuous learning and development personally and professionally. We can wait and see what tomorrow holds, or as leaders, we can help create the future!"

- B.S., University of Arkansas
- M.B.A., University of North Carolina at Greensboro
My experiences include over thirty years of experience in leadership roles within public education, international corporations, faith-based nonprofits, and churches. Serves as a coach/consultant in organizational governance, leadership development, and strategic planning. I served on various nonprofit boards and currently serve as a Trustee with our Canadian Southern Baptist Seminary & College.
- Connections through family, friends, and colleagues in the local business community and within faith-based nonprofits.
- Mentorships of young leaders at the director to CEO level in organizations.
My first job after undergrad was serving as president of a national organization for college students in Washington, DC. I then taught high school math and coached football. My desire to lead through organizational roles led me to serve in Human Resources for a school system and then in a corporate setting in HR and Labor Relations. I was given opportunities to learn, grow and expand my leadership into new areas and served in Marketing and Operations management in an international division. But God – had another plan, and I entered “the ministry” with the purpose of using the education, skills, and experiences He had allowed me to gain to invest more directly in Kingdom entities. For over twenty years, I have had the privilege of serving Him in and through local churches, the North American Mission Board, large faith-based nonprofits, and now NGU. I have been blessed to serve in different functional areas of businesses and organizations. At NGU, I am blessed to get to teach across those functional lines as well.
Favorite Course to Teach: I don’t have a favorite class; I just love getting to teach emerging leaders and drawing from a varied background of experiences in doing so.
