  • My Story

There were many teachers in our extended family. My Aunt taught mathematics and I really admired her. I love mathematics and I love to see people understand and use mathematics to solve problems. I went to Winthrop University and studied Secondary Mathematics Education and went to Kenya for two years and taught in an African boarding school, then I came back to the states and taught 3 years in Lexington District 1. I returned to Kenya for 21 more years teaching high school mathematics. I came to NGU in 2002 as a missionary-in-residence and joined the faculty in 2003 after completing a Doctor of Education from the University of South Carolina. I absolutely love teaching.

My Favorite Course to Teach: Global Perspectives in Education that combines my love of teaching with my heart for the nations. I also love the History of Faith and Mathematics that challenges us to develop and mathematical apologetic for our faith. It is really hard to narrow it down because I love all of my courses and all of the students.
