My Story
I graduated from NGU in 1998. I transferred to University of North Carolina at Wilmington and received a bachelor’s degree in marine biology in 2002. I was a member of the Marine Mammal Stranding Network and a volunteer at the Fort Fisher Aquarium where I cared for invertebrates, sea turtles, sharks, and stingrays. I received my master’s in education in 2008 and taught high school for 12 years. I returned to NGU in 2015 as a faculty member where I enjoy fostering intellectual and spiritual growth. I have three daughters and a son. We enjoy almost any outdoor activity and we love craft time.
Favorite Course to Teach:
Integrated Biology is my favorite course to teach. I enjoy sharing my experience and creativity with other future teachers and guiding them in proper pedagogy for their teaching careers.
