  • My Story

I was born and raised in Anderson, SC. I am the son of a cabinet maker and a mother who was a designer. I attended and graduated from T.L. Hanna High school, where I enjoyed activities such as art classes and playing trumpet in the marching band. After High school I embarked upon a BA in studio art from Lander University, where I was introduced to photography and ceramics. These subjects would captivate me and propel me to further his education by attending Clemson University for study in the Master of Fine Arts program. I have taught at North Greenville University since 2003. In my spare time I enjoy working with three dimensional materials such as wood, clay and vintage photographs. You may also find me knee deep in a trout stream when I get the chance. I am also a member of Art Bomb Studios, a non-profit arts organization, located in downtown Greenville SC. As a Christian, I approach my duties in the classroom in a way that integrates faith, while also guiding and helping students learn the skills they want and need to learn. In doing so I help to create students that become transformational leaders for church and society.
