About the Scholarship

The Patterson Graduate School Scholarship was established by Dr. Tawana Scott in 2008 in memory of her parents, Ray and Doris Patterson. Dr. Scott is a graduate of North Greenville University and has a passion for NGU and seeing others continue their education. She is particularly keen to assist those we are being prepared for Kingdom work in all fields of study—equipping the saints for the work of the ministry. She obtained two post-graduate degrees after the age of forty and while raising four sons.

She understands the sacrifices and commitment needed to pursue post-graduate studies. Gifts to this scholarship help fund demonstrated financial need as well as emergency situations. In the past ten years, this scholarship has helped graduate students from all degree programs at the T. Walter Brashier Graduate School at North Greenville University. Please consider giving today and supporting students with a passion for continued learning and their studies.

Contributions can be received by check or online through the secured payment portal. Your gift today is tax-deductible.  Charitable contributions made to a qualified organization for the benefit of a specific individual is not tax-deductible. You can deduct a contribution to a qualified organization that helps needy and worthy individuals if you don’t indicate that your contribution is for a specific person.
