Communication Scholarships

The School of Communication will award academic/management scholarships and endowed scholarships to deserving communication students.

  • New First-Year Student

    Academic scholarships may be awarded on a merit basis to new first-year NGU student meeting the following criteria:

    • Declared NGU Major in either Strategic Communication or Digital Media
    • 3.5 or higher high school GPA
    • Minimum SAT combines score of 1100 or ACT score of 22
    • Minimum 250-word essay on the topic: “What I hope to gain from a communication major”

  • Full-time Returning Communication Students

    Academic scholarships to continuing or transfer full-time School of Communication students may be awarded on a merit basis to those who have met the following criteria:

    • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 at the end of the fall semester
    • Minimum major GPA of 3.0 at the end of the fall semester
    • Minimum 250-word essay on the topic of “How my faith informs my study and application of communication principles”
    • Letter of recommendation from a professor outside the School of Communication should be sent to Dr. Randall King at randall.king@ngu.edu by the submission deadline.
