Language. Culture. Education.
Go beyond language as you master linguistics, literature, and culture through Spanish Education at North Greenville University.
Interact with people from Spanish-speaking cultures and backgrounds, explore Spanish art and literature as you master the language, and, most importantly, teach others to do the same. Prepare for a career in Spanish education: K-12 Spanish teacher and tutor, intercultural ministry worker, or missionary. You might even work as a translator for international corporations and government agencies (like the FBI or CIA).
A bachelor’s degree in Spanish education paves the way for a fulfilling career as a Spanish teacher. You’ll have the opportunity to educate students in the Spanish language and culture, nurturing language skills and cultural appreciation.
This degree positions you to make a positive impact on students’ lives, equipping them for a globalized world where Spanish language proficiency is highly advantageous.

Language is about more than linguistics, phonetics, grammar, and composition. It’s about art, history, culture, and connection. Travel to either Spain or South America. Live with a Spanish-speaking host family. Maximize your learning experience as you immerse yourself in the Spanish language and culture.
Observe real-world teachers and students. Participate in actual classroom studies and discussions. Teach lessons in local public schools. Receive critical feedback from expert mentors. It’s student teaching, elevated at NGU.
Attend local Hispanic-speaking churches. Serve and worship with fellow Christians in a language, culture, and community outside your own. Witness the beauty of God’s diverse kingdom as you fine-tune your Spanish-speaking skills.
You’ll also take Chapel for the first seven semesters, and Cultural Events for the first four semesters. This is the NGU difference, how you find your peak performance and elevate your perspective, intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually.
